If you visit Park Church, you will notice the warmth of the people in the congregation as well as the love for worship which is appropriately more dignified than other occasions for assembling. If you have never seen a church family which can be friendly in fellowship while also being reverent in times of worship, we think you will find this balance biblical and refreshing.
The style of worship service is suited to the majesty of God and the profound glories of Jesus Christ. We do follow biblical patterns of worship which are common in the Protestant tradition, but God’s word and the amazing gift of meeting with the living God keeps us from being satisfied with mere formality. Preaching and prayer are earnest and sincere. We believe that the preaching of God’s word and the administration of the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper are means of grace for our Christian growth and to be central to the life of a Christian church.
People are free to dress however they are comfortable in coming to church. Far more important than what you wear is that you would simply come and come ready to worship God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the congregation of God’s covenant people.
Got kids?
We have a healthy number of families with children already, and we want to have an inviting home for more to settle with us. While our desire is to have as many children as possible in the worship service for as much of the worship service as possible, we do have a simple nursery arrangement from toddler age into preschool to help make a gradual transition into being with families for the whole service. This means we do have noises from children during our worship services, and we thank God for it! What a blessing to have our children joining us in worship and learning to sing praise to God from their earliest ages!
Sunday School
Our current pattern is to offer Sunday School for all ages from September through early June. We currently offer 4 different age groups for Sunday School, including preschool, elementary, middle and high school. We also have an adult class that's studying the principles of worship in a Reformed church.
